What's New at Friendly's

We are committed to respecting the privacy rights of all visitors to our Web site. This Privacy Policy also explains the choices that you can make about the way your information is collected and used. The safety and privacy of children is extremely important to us. We have taken measures to protect the safety and privacy of kids. Friendlys.com is a general audience Web site. The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act requires sites that target kids or know that a visitor to their site is a child under the age of 13 to follow certain rules established by the Federal Trade Commission. One of the rules is that a site must get parental consent in order to collect personally identifying information from kids under the age of 13. Friendly's complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.

For almost all activities on the Friendlys.com site, the information we collect is non-personal (such as first name, age, city and state). If you enter a contest, send us a question or send an electronic postcard, we will also ask for an e-mail address. We only collect enough information from our visitors to make activities on Friendlys.com sites fun and interesting.

If you submit stories, artwork, comments or anything else to us that is posted on our site, you will be identified on our site only by first name, age, city and state.

If you send us an e-mail with a question or comment, or enter one of our contests, we will write back using your e-mail address, but we will not keep the address or use it again. Contests or sweepstakes include your first name, e-mail address and your parent's e-mail address and, if you win, before your prize is collected, your parent or guardian is sent an e-mail informing them of your award and explaining the nature and terms and conditions of the sweepstakes. Your parent or guardian will then have a chance to "opt out" of collecting your prize on your behalf, in which case the prize will not be awarded.
